Rachel trained at Mary Reid International School of Beauty in 1995, from there she went on to work at The Edinburgh Floataruim for 5 years, from there moved onto various salons in Edinburgh working with top brands such as Guinot, Decleor, Clarins and Dermalogica.
After 17 years in the beauty industry she still loves meeting clients and doing lots of different treatments. She is especially passionate about skin health and loves giving (and receiving!) relaxing face and body treatments. Rachel is a huge fan of Dermalogica and has used it personally and professionally for 17 years, she also loves the Glycopeel facial for the amazing instant results it gives, “it’s my pre party essential!”.
Rachel is extremely proud of The Lilac Rooms and passionate about her work she is always thinking of ways to improve the services offered and believes it is so important to stay at the fore front of the ever changing beauty industry. In her spare time Rachel likes to socialise, loves exercising, walking her dog and spending time with her husband and two boys.

After completing SVQ level’s 2 & 3 in beauty therapy at Edinburgh’s Telford College Jill joined Vital Spa within The MacDonald Marine Hotel in North Berwick. There she developed her skills in a wide range of relaxing treatments, especially body treatments, different types of massage and spa facials.
Jill is a friendly and highly professional therapist and loves her clients to be completely relaxed when leaving the salon. She enjoys doing manicure & pedicure treatments but also gives a fantastic massage or facial and always gets great feedback from her massage clients!
In her spare time Jill enjoys socialising and spending time with her partner and little boy Caleb.

After completing her HND in Beauty Therapy at Edinburgh’s Telford College Kirsty started her Beauty career at Stobo Castle Health Spa learning different massage techniques, relaxing facial treatments and nail treatments from there she moved onto The Spa within The Balmoral Hotel where she further developed her skills working with top brands such as Espa, Sundari and Ytsara. Kirsty is an extremely professional therapist who enjoys carrying out all treatments but particularly enjoys giving Hot Stone massages and manicures treatments.
In her spare time Kirsty enjoys socialising with friends and family, she also plays the baritone in a local Brass Band.
